Intrepid Improved Battery Cover Black
Whilst the Intrepid / MiniX bait boat is absolutely fantastic in our book, it’s let down by a poor fitting battery cover….. many will agree who have lost the original !
We’ve now finished the design of the GS Tackle replacement, rather than making an identical replacement (which is flawed in our opinion) we set about making an improvement to the fitting and protection.
The Battery cover uses a longer male part which pushes further into the battery compartment (8.5mm vs original 6mm)
The top of the cover is longer / wider and deeper this is purposely to create a recess for the battery opening, this effectively stops the possibility of water entering the compartment.
To ensure a nice tight / snug fit we have designed and manufactured a rubber seal (TPU) which is held to the hard plastic via 10 pull tabs to ensure it remains firmly in place.
We utilised three finger tabs to ensure the power button is not obscured by the battery cover
Fitment is easy, simply press the front (single finger tab towards headlight) down and then push the back down firmly.
Removal is lift the rear dual tab first and it pops off without too much force.
