Boatman launched the V2 / mk2 Vulcan in December, we quickly ordered a V2 GPS in Carbon to ensure we can check compatibility of the parts we make and of course design specific parts for the V2 where required.

List of changes from mk1 / V1 boat :

• Bottom Hull changes, The bottom moulding is different, with a small removable cover plate (presumably for Sonar on future models)

• Top Cover, the biggest quality of life improvement being the removal of the rear tie bar / brace - this should make loading the boat with your rigs easier

• Battery Covers, old version simply dropped on without any tactile click or positive indication they were on correctly. The new covers click into place - i really like this feature

• Rear Lights, placement of the Rear Lights is moved upwards, i personally preferred the original design as i feel the lights now look like an afterthought and “stuck” on.

• GPS, improved range of satellites the boat can connect to, from 12 to 60.
  This should lead to improved consistency of GPS signal, and possibly accuracy, however worth noting our V1 GPS boat was very accurate out of the box and didn’t need any adjustments to be made.

• On/Off Switch, new design which needs to be held down to turn on - didn’t feel the original was a problem however feels a nice upgrade.

• Rear Weed Guards, new design incorporates a flap - i really dislike these, think they will get caught when putting the boat into bags. Will be designing some fixed weed guards for the boat.

• Rear Deeper Mount : verified it fits perfectly

• Full Cover PVA / Solid Bag Dropper : Re-Design required, without the rear tie bar the Dropper can slide around in the hull.

• Low Profile PVA / Solid Bag Dropper : fits perfectly
