PLEASE NOTE : The use of this mount results in the hook release being unusable.
The Actor PLUS rear deeper mount consists of 3 main parts :
1. The main body assembly : this is designed to be permanently mounted to the boat over the Standard rear hook release bracket.
Once fitted using the supplied hexagon wrench / allen key it gives the boat a secure quick and easy connection point for the Deeper Tube assembly.
The Main body fits over the hook release and uses an existing hole in the standard hook release to secure - Operating the hook release will NOT affect the mount in any way.
2. The Tube Insert : The tube insert is the element that allows a quick removal of the Deeper without the need for screws or tools.
The tube insert is designed to be a loose fit around the tube, this allows the tube to float up and down in the water to accommodate different boat loadings / bait levels and chop on the water.
3. The Deeper Tube : The tube is manufactured from Carbon Fibre, for strength and longevity the tube is cored with a M5 Stainless steel Screw, which runs the full length of the tube into the moulded thumbscrew, this gives a stainless steel thread for connection of the deeper.
The thumbscrew version allows the removal of tube assembly from the Deeper without the need of additional tools.
The deeper tube is designed to float and bob up and down self regulating to the chop / waves and loading of the boat.
When the deeper is not required, the angler can remove the tube assembly complete by lifting the insert upwards, and angle the tube at 45 degrees before sliding the assembly out.
